The key to executing jewel tones successfully in plaster is undertone management. A deep blue that reads purple under incandescent light is a problem; a deep blue that warms to teal in afternoon sun and deepens to near-black at night is an achievement. We do sample boards in your actual space before committing to any deep-tone application.
Metallic Accents: Earned, Not Everywhere
The metallic trend has matured. In 2024, clients wanted metallic everywhere. In 2026, the most discerning clients want it in one place, applied with precision. A single metallic surround, a ceiling medallion in antique gold, a narrow feature wall in burnished bronze — these applications have impact precisely because they're singular.
We're also seeing interest in tonal metallic finishes — surfaces where the metallic quality is subtle enough to read as a rich matte from a distance, revealing its depth only as you approach. This is a technically demanding application and one of our specialties.
