At Alchemy Wall Studio, each geometric commission begins with a scale drawing developed to your room dimensions and palette. We draft the geometry in chalk, build up the masking tape network across the wall, and lay in the base coats before removing masks and painting the individual shapes in successive translucent layers. The result reads as woven depth — light catches the edges differently at each hour of the day, making the finish feel alive rather than applied.

The Application Process

Design & Scale Drawing

Working from your brief and room dimensions, we produce a scaled drawing of the chosen geometric pattern — specifying motif size, repeat, palette, and any metallic or plaster inlay zones — before a brush touches the wall.

Palette Development

Colors are mixed and tested in your actual light conditions, including the translucent fill layers, so you see the finished depth and the way light plays across the geometry before we commit to the full application.

Masking & Base Coats

The pattern is chalked onto the wall, the masking tape network is laid in by hand, and the base coats are applied and allowed to cure. Clean, sharp geometry depends entirely on this foundation — we take the time it requires.

Detail Painting & Sealing

Individual shapes are painted in successive translucent layers, metallic leaf or Venetian plaster inlay is added where specified, and the finished surface is sealed with a penetrating matte or satin sealer matched to the room's light and use.
